Ian Aitken, Director of Solutions and Engineering, Samsung Electronics Australia
Ian Aitken was appointed Director of Pre-Sales, Solutions and ISV Partners, Enterprise and Small & Medium Business, for Samsung Electronics Australia in November 2014.
An industry veteran, Ian brings with him over 24 years of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) experience with global companies including Lucent Technologies, Concerto and Cisco.
In Samsung, Ian is tasked to leverage on the company’s success in consumer electronics to break new ground for its Enterprise and SMB (Small & Medium Business) businesses. His vision is to build strong relationships with Enterprises to develop new ways of using Samsung technologies to bring about business transformation.
Prior to his appointment at Samsung, Ian spent 13 years in several leadership roles in Cisco, including APCJ Director of Engineering of Cisco’s Global Enterprise Theatre.
Mr. Aitken studied electronic engineering in Australia at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University (RMIT) and is a passionate technology evangelist and avid follower of good quality music. Informally studied human psychology and early childhood development. Ian is keenly interested in helping and developing people communicate better, interact better and develop human relationships.
